June 15, 2017 – Burnaby Cariboo RV Park It’s raining. I don’t like rain! As the weather was bad busking was not an option today. My humans decided to do another workday in the TV room. I like that idea as it means for me I can take a very long nap and don’t need to be out in the rain. My mistress paid for two more nights at the RV park but we can't stay longer as the limit is 7 nights. My mistress looked for another place to stay and found a nice place on AirBnB. She send a request to stay there, now we have to wait for the answer. The good thing - this is even less expensive then the RV park. Peter, my master, went to the pool after they talked to Ken over the computer. I miss the desert, I miss the warmth, I miss the backyard and I miss the people in Pahrump. I also miss my family in Germany. I trust my humans and I am sure we will all meet again. While my master was at the pool my mistress found a job offer she could not ignore. She applied for it and we will see what ha

June 14, 2017 – Burnaby Cariboo RV Park Today we slept in again. My mistress had a great night with the sleeping bag and my master was glad he had the blanket for himself. I am fine as long as I am with my humans. It was cold today and my humans decided to work, as we need money coming in. My humans are not only balloon artists. Together with Ken they create balloon software, which helps balloon artists to plan their decorations and show their customers what it will look like when it is finished. They also run an online shop where they sell Ken’s balloon tutorials and the software. There is always something to do – put on some new products, offer special prices for software or tutorials, add more products, … My mistress takes care of the shop and she is always busy. They also made a website for MySolarSupply.com and need to advertise for that. My humans also run a balloon artist business in Germany and they need to answer customer questions and make quotes. The biggest thing they

June 13, 2017 – Burnaby Cariboo RV Park My mistress was cold last night. I do agree, it was very cold last night. It was only 11°C/51F “warm”. I wasn’t cold as my fur started to grow again. Brook, the nice neighbor, left today. Before she left she told my humans that she can take us with her as she is leaving for Ontario in a couple of days. Isn’t this great? My humans were worried because you are not allowed to take pets on the Greyhound busses we might not be able to take the bus to Calgary. You have to order the tickets online and might not get a refund if they refuse to take me, although I am a service dog. Because my mistress was cold last night and does not want to get sick we walked to the mall today. She wanted to get a sleeping bag. We had to walk to the Sky Train station, remember – this is a long walk. My humans decided to walk as an exercise instead of taking the bus. My mistress got a nice sleeping bag and something to eat. On their way through the mall they asked

June 12, 2017 – Burnaby Cariboo RV Park My humans had a good night with their new blanket and me too as I had both of my blankets again. Today we will stay at the RV Park to find a way to go to Calgary, the next big city. To go there we have to cross the Rocky Mountains. The Rocky Mountains are 4.400 m high (12,183 feet). And it will be a long drive to Calgary, which is the closest big city to Vancouver on our way to the east coast. For me this was a relaxing day as I could sleep all day long. The sun was shining once in a while. New “neighbors” arrived. They had three kids and just got married the other day. My master made some balloons for the children while the parents took care of the tent. I like children. While my mistress was walking me we met a goose family. Parents and four ducklings. Never heard of goose living at an RV park. We went to bed early again.

June 11, 2017 Burnaby Cariboo RV Park Although it was cold that night and very loud we had a good sleep. This morning we met Brooke. She is canoeing Canada following the history as canoes traveled Canada 150 year ago. This year is the 150th anniversary of Canada. She is very nice and “lives” in the tent next to us. My humans and I went to Downtown Vancouver today to busk. This time we took the bus to the train station, which was way better than walking. This sky train is shaking very much. My humans told me I am behaving very well. Most of the time the other passengers don’t even notice I am on the train. We took the train to “Waterfront”. It was a sunny but windy day. Waterfront is where to cruise ships to Alaska are leaving and it is also close to Coal Harbor. As my humans did not have breakfast yet they got a coffee and a muffin. We watched the water airplanes coming in and leaving. There were a lot of people and a lot of them talked in German. My humans went to a park cal

June 10, 2017 – Vancouver Today we slept in, packed and left the motel. We walked to the bus station. We did not know that we need coins to pay for the bus and the bus driver was very friendly and took us anyway. In the bus were more people but they all looked Asian. We went to a balloon shop to purchase some balloons at JC Balloon Studio. They were very friendly and even offered me some water. We walked a little further and took a seat in the Pallet Coffee Kingsway where my humans had a coffee and a snack. My master even went to the hair salon to get a new haircut, as his hair was really long. Rosy’s Hair Beauty Design did a great job and he looks great now! I took a nap while my humans sat in the cafĂ©. They looked for a place to stay for the night. Unfortunately all couches offered on “couchsurfing.com” were gone and they decided to go to a campsite. For this we had to go back to Burnaby again and this time we took the bus and the Sky train. At one station we got out and my mis

Seattle, WA to Vancouver, BC I completely forgot to tell you about my food last night. Do you remember, I told you about the breakfast my humans had. Can you imagine, I got the left overs. That was so yummy. I might get used to this. This morning we had to get up very, very early as my humans had to return the car. It was only 6 am. But first we went to the harbor again to check out the ferries. My mistress went to ask somebody to find out if we could take the ferry to Canada. I’ve never been on a ferry or a ship and I wasn’t sure if I would like this. My mistress said she would be seasick and would have to take a pill for the trip. When she came back she said we could not take the ferry, as we would not get a stamp in the passport that shows that we left the USA. Somehow this was important for them, they said we could not go back without the stamp. I do not understand what they mean by that but I was glad I did not have to go on the ferry, whatever this is. Now we had to hurry
